View your talking time during Google Meet
In today’s digital world, we often find ourselves using video and audio calls to help us get work done and collaborate on projects. Whether you’re in a company that has an internal video calling solution or a tool like Google Meet that lets you host meetings with up to 100 people in the room, you’ve probably noticed that speaking too much is a problem in a meeting. In fact, studies suggest that speaking too little or too much can result in poor employee retention and performance. That’s why, in Google Meet, we track the amount of time you talk, when others talk, and how much time you talk for each participant and gender group. We use these insights to suggest you and your teammates to pause and take a breath when you get going.

See speaking time by participants and by gender groups in real-time. Watch people share video and audio clips and mute their microphone when you start speaking. Join a meeting as an observer by just opening the Chrome extension. Watch the video and audio clips from your friends and colleagues. You can quickly join the conversation by just typing the username you used when you were invited. And, if you’re the one speaking too much, you can mute your microphone and we’ll provide the rest of the meeting participants with the option to unmute you.
